3 Hanging D's Horse Boarding sits under the Big Sky and in the heart of the Gallatin Valley in the perfect location for enjoying the best
Montana has to offer. With views of the Bridgers to the east, the Spanish Peaks to the South and the Tobacco Roots to the west we are
surrounded by the most brilliant scenery. Removed from the hustle and bustle of Bozeman, yet close enough to MSU for the college crowd,
our facility is in the ideal location. Enjoy a trail ride through the wide-open farmland where our family homesteaded and has been farming
since 1905. With no fences for miles, you can follow the county road for 12 miles where you can overlook the Madison River along Norris Road.
Where the boarding facility sits today was originally where farms’ dairy that started back in 1947. The newly redone dry lots were the
pens where the dairy calves were housed and fed. As they grew larger, they were moved from pen to pen of increasing sizes. We kept the
preexisting structure with exposed beams to maintain some of the lean-to’s history. The rest of the property has been fully revitalized
to what you see today. Amish built structures and rough sawn fir gives the property a classic feel. 3 Hanging D's features a 180’ by 150’
riding arena, 6 pastures connected to 90’ by 120’ dry lots, and 5 dry lots of various sizes. The pastures are irrigated by big gun
sprinklers as the seasons allow.
Our goal is to provide a safe and comfortable environment for our borders’ horses. Each fence has a low voltage electric solar charger
that can be turned on to deter horses from bickering over the fences and from damaging the wood. 3 Hanging D's is a laid-back atmosphere
geared towards owners that genuinely love their horses and want a fun community of equine enthusiasts.
